About Tatiana

Picture
Tatiana lives and works as a ceramic artist in the high desert foothills of the Sandia Mountains south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her work reflects her profound respect for the earth and awe for the element of fire. The bold shapes, varied textures, and luminous precious metal glazes that characterize her artistry express the joy she takes in her medium.

Tatiana often works in conceptual series, conceiving and creating each piece as a variation on a theme, in each new series, represented currently by the Infinity, Relic and Urban Legend collection, she strives to tell a personal story, to evoke a particular energy. Resonant depth is a quality Tatiana developed and experienced over many years as a professional cellist playing string quartets, and it is that quality that can be seen and felt in her ceramic work.

Tatiana studied with Dore Ashton, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and earned a B.A. in Art History from the University of Arizona.
