About Jo Baxter

Picture
Although an artist in several mediums, Jo's lifelong passion/obsession for exquisite, fine jewelry and fascination of gemology, led her to focus on goldsmithing over 25 years ago, while still working in the corporate world, including Tiffany & Co. She has studied with numerous jewelry masters across the U.S., and brings the influence of her Southern California upbringing, along with her adult years living on the East Coast, to create a distinctive style which is refined but relaxed.

Inspired by the colors of the ocean and nature, every high karat gold and colorful gemstone piece that Jo creates, is one-of-a-kind, and meticulously hand fabricated solely by her with joy, patience and skill.

Jo designs and makes jewelry in her Santa Monica, California studio that she likes to wear: casually elegant, delicate, feminine, colorful and happy; it is appropriate for any situation. Her wish is that the owner of her work will appreciate and enjoy it as much as she did in its creation.
