About Michael Lane

Picture
Michael has been designing jewellery for the past 38 years. He has always loved working with his hands and even as a young child Michael was drawn to and fascinated by creative handmade jewellery. He began with private tutoring from Karen Reed in the method of lost wax casting. Michael's most important training came from a ten year apprenticeship with master designer/goldsmith Don Bryant of Scottsdale AZ.  He now resides with his wife Alison in Western Australia.

As an artist, Michael is inspired by reflection, movement and the flow of lines and curves that are pure, direct and simple. His style of geometrically pure line is dramatic, unusual and contemporary. Each piece is sculpted to be worn comfortably, to wear durably and to remain appealing across time. His jewellery is characteristically finished to perfection.
