About Gigi Mizrahi

Picture
“For me, the characteristic of a good piece of jewelry is that it is capable of accentuating
the personality of the wearer, that it becomes an integral part of the person.
I started designing my jewelry with this in mind. I focused first on Mexico, on pre-Hispanic
designs. Although these symbols are not always associated with jewelry, I chose them for
their meaning and beauty, because they seem to me to express universal and timeless
themes. Africa holds a very special place in my heart, I have been there several times as a
photographer and it has also been an important source of inspiration in my creative works.
Jewelry not only reveals the different facets of our personality but also comes into contact
with the most delicate parts of our bodies. For this reason I became interested in the weight of my pieces. I want them to have a special bond with the person who wears them: that they not only use them but feel them like a hug.”
